Christopher Rout, Software Engineer

Christopher Rout is a C-17 Field Engineer and specialist in Electrical Systems and Avionics at Boeing Defence Australia. Chris has worked for Boeing for 12 years providing technical assistance, engineering direction, and software testing; and participating in mishap investigations, on and off-site aircraft recoveries, and deployment operations.

Gianpaolo Valero, Software Engineer

This is Gianpaolo Valero's third start-up, he was the Co-Founder, Team Leader and Developer at EmpresasTD, a Venezualan start-up providing services to small and medium businesses. He has also worked on a project sponsored by Cisco Systems determining the feasibility of building a new Enhanced Device Detection Protocol.

Daniel Cooke, Social Media Marketing

Daniel is a final year student of Philosophy at King's College London having studied for part of his degree at The University of California, Berkeley. He has written for various online publications including The Huffington Post UK, Jetsettimes.com and US News. Daniel is a passionate traveler and enjoys documenting his journeys through writing, photography and film-making. He is also an amateur stand-up comedian, and a co-host on two shows on King's College London student radio.


Jade Farley, Social Media Marketing

With over 13 years of experience in Communications Management, Jade has worked with clients ranging from fashion labels to scientists. Since moving from her native Australia to Florence, Italy in 2006, she has specialised in travel. Her favourite hobbies are anything to do with food and wine.


Giuseppe Tempestini, Social Media Marketing

Giuseppe is a multifaceted communications expert with 6 years of experience as a Social Media Advisor and Community Manager. Ph.D Candidate in Sociology of Communication, his research focus is on the use of Web 2.0 tools in developing countries. He founded the first Italian CoderDojo in Florence and also has years of experience in tourism as a guide in Tuscany.

Bill Liao

An Australian entrepreneur, Liao is currently a venture partner with SOSventures and listed as an influential investor on Twitter. Liao is a social networking pioneer, author, speaker, and philanthropist. Liao was the Director of Operations (DOO) of telecommunications company Davnet, which achieved the fastest capital value growth in the history of the Australian Stock exchange and which aggregated Internet access in the riser space of office buildings. He was the first external investor in XING.com, and in 2009, he founded WeForest.org, an organization promoting reforestation as a way to combat global warming.

In 2011, Liao joined SOSventures as their European Venture Partner specializing in Internet and social media. He has invested in Mark Little's Storyful venture, and Silicon Republic. Bill Liao and James Whelton founded CoderDojo, a not-for-profit organization that teaches children how to code. It aims to teach children creative problem-solving skills and practical creative skills and was launched in Ireland in mid 2011.

Gary Leyden

Based in Dublin Gary Leyden has successfully founded two companies in the last ten years – Computer Gym and Vrising and has advised numerous others in a personal capacity and as a member of the Enterprise Ireland Mentor Network since 2005. With over 20 years experience in the ICT sector, Gary brings a strong customer focus to the organizations with whom he works, aligning technical solutions with customer problems.

He is a graduate of Trinity College and holds an MBA from the Smurfit Graduate School of Business, UCD. He currently is Director of NDRC LaunchPad, recently ranked by the Kaufmann Fellows as the #1 technology accelerator in Ireland and #6 in Europe.
